Msitu Radio

Msitu Radio is Kenya’s first mobile community radio platform amplifying the heartbeat of endangered forests and the guardians who protect them. Born from ancestral wisdom and climate urgency, we journey with solar-powered studios into ecosystems like the Kakamega Rainforest and Mount Kenya’s slopes, *recording unfiltered stories from the source: Maasai fire-revivers, Kikuyu seed-keepers, and scouts battling illegal loggers in Arabuko-Sokoke.

We exist to counter vanishing forests (12,000 hectares lost yearly) and fading Indigenous knowledge. Our broadcasts braid scientific insight with ancestral truths—from Sengwer cultural burning that reduced wildfires by 62% to blockchain-verified deforestation alerts. Through daily programs and elder-led soundscapes, we turn radio waves into roots of resillience.
